Mix your day if you like with skiing in the afternoon and in the morning try some jet boating, bungy jumping, scenic flights, 4WDriving, golfing, flyfishing etc. Scenic flights can be arranged to Milford Sound, Mount Aspiring, Mount Earnslaw, Mount Cook and the Franz Joseph and Fox glaciers.

Also available are guided fly fishing adventures on rivers that have not been touched for days, or try trolling on any of the local lakes, fish guaranteed! Both Rainbow and Brown trout fly fishing are plentifully around the southern lakes.

Take a 4WD trip into the famous Skippers Canyon and Macetown via 30 river crossings, what about bungy jumping, jet boating, horse trekking, wineries, restaurants, or even the Lake Wakatipu vintage steamship, the historical 'Earnslaw'.

Try gold panning on the Arrow River, this town was born of the gold fever era. Here in Arrowtown, you will also find a reconstructed gold mining settlement along the banks of the Arrow River. The dwellings consist of structures built onto rock walls, tin sheds, canvas covered frames and stone walled rooms. Arrowtown has an amazing museum, a must visit.
